Peter has worked for more than 10 years as a strategic communications consultant servicing international and national companies in a variety of industries. Prior to his consulting work, Peter spent nearly six years working at The White House including as a spokesman for President George Bush, as well as a spokesman for First Lady Laura Bush. Peter is an adjunct professor at the University of Utah, and is married with three children.

Marie Martinez is a highly-skilled professional with 26 years of banking experience. As a Community Banker Relationship manager, Marie is committed to serving clients' banking needs (personal and business) swiftly, expertly, and in total confidence. She knows and understands her clients' financial requirements, helps them to establish their goals, and is committed to their success. 

In Marie's free time she loves to read and walk the local trails. She enjoys cooking with her family and spending time with them. Marie is a passionate woman, wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, and she strives to be a positive leader in all aspects of her life. 

Clark R. Moss retired after a 34-year career with Chevron Corporation.  He is a long-term Davis County resident, growing up in Centerville and later settling down in Fruit Heights.  Living just a mile from the Davis Technical College campus, Clark and his wife, Eileen, have seen the College grow from humble beginnings.  More importantly, they have seen how the College has changed the lives of friends and family members.  Clark is a believer in Davis Technical College and knows it not only changes lives, but it also saves lives!

Clark has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from Utah State University.  He has served on boards for various non-profit organizations and was the Chairman of the Board of an $80 million credit union.  He and his wife have four children and four grandchildren.  

Elected to serve as a board member for the Morgan County School District in 2016, Adam Toone represents Morgan School District on the Davis Technical College Board of Trustees and acts as the liaison for the Foundation. He brings occupational experience working 20 years in the residential construction sector and as a business owner. As a sixth-generation farmer/rancher, Adam brings a unique perspective to the board and sees the vital importance of trade skills. He values hard work, common sense, and living with integrity. These are values that he and his wife seek to instill in their five children. 

Adam has served his community in multiple capacities: as a school board representative, as a member of the Morgan County Planning Commission, as a county chairman for his political party, and as a youth wrestling coach. Through this experience, he has gained an appreciation for parliamentary procedure, how to actively listen to stakeholders, and the importance of asking hard questions. Adam is not one to shy away from tackling problems. He approaches decisions in a calm, logical manner, seeking to understand and gain greater insight. 

Mr. Carr is President of Carr Printing Co., a Utah corporation that began business in 1890. He has served multiple terms on the board of the Printing Industries of Utah and the board of the South Davis Area Chamber of Commerce. In his work for the chamber of commerce, Mr. Carr assisted in establishing the Davis Center for Higher Education, which later became Weber State University – Davis. He is currently a member of the Board of Governors for the Davis Chamber of Commerce.

Ariel Defay is a campaign, legislative, and marketing professional. She received a B.A. in Political Science from Utah State University and a Masters of Public Administration from Ohio University. She has used her expertise to advance causes, policies and campaigns that will improve the lives of all Utahns.

Ariel is thrilled to be a part of the Davis Technical College Foundation Board. She understands the importance of education to the growth of communities and economies. She has a personal interest in Davis Tech. Ariel has taken digital marketing classes at Davis Tech to enrich her professional marketing efforts. She has seen firsthand the impact the college can have on individual lives.

Ariel lives in Kaysville with her husband and local orthodontist, Dave Defay. Together, they provide scholarships and student recognition ceremonies to local junior highs and high schools. They also enjoy raising their three rambunctious and adorable kids.

Ms. Smith is the Executive Director of the Utah Family Partnership Network, a non-profit that helps families and schools work together for student success. She has served on the Davis School Board since 1994 and was president of the board for eight years. She also served on the Davis Applied Technology College Board of Directors for 22 years, serving as president for 11 years.

Jenn Barlow is the President of Barlow Corporation & Dale Corporation. She is honored to work in a multi-generational family office setting and to have worked with Haven J. Barlow, her Grandfather, and Duncan E. Barlow, her late father, as well as many other family members. Jenn is a problem solver and has enjoyed working in real estate, management, operations and design. Jenn received her bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and a Masters degree from Savannah College of Art & Design. 

Jenn has a passion for building a strong community and serving those around her. She knows how crucial it is to have multiple pathways in education and is grateful for the services provided by Davis Tech. Jenn and her husband Brady are licensed foster parents and have been privileged to love and support children in our community. Jenn and Brady have one son, Caleb, and live in Layton.

Mary McBride is vice president, Digital Experience and Sales Manager for Bank of Utah. Mary joined the Bank in September 2019 to spearhead the effort to create a digital branch for opening accounts.

Mary is a graduate of Westminster College, where she earned her B.A. in business, with a marketing emphasis and psychology minor. While there, she obtained an internship with Boede + Partners, a B2B technology marketing firm in Salt Lake City. Within that year, Boede + Partners was acquired by McCann Worldgroup, a global marketing agency. Mary was hired by McCann after graduation.

Over the next 14 years, Mary grew her marketing prowess to become vice president, Engagement Director over MRM//McCann West. She partnered with Fortune 500 companies, including Verizon, Panasonic, Mastercard and Honeywell.  When the opportunity arose to apply her skills and interests at home with Bank of Utah, it was a natural fit.    

Mary is excited to be a part of the Davis Technical College Foundation because there is power in combining education with hands-on experience. She believes engaged learning is a key that can unlock doors for individuals, families and communities. 

Mary is a proud native of Ogden, Utah, where she and her husband, Terry, enjoy raising their two children.

Rhonda Brimley Greenwood is a retired public relations professional, having served most recently as Vice President/Public Relations Director for Love Communications in Salt Lake City. Throughout her long career, Rhonda has held a passion for promoting many cause-related campaigns for government and non-profit organizations and has encouraged businesses to support local charitable causes.

As a long-time resident of Davis County, Rhonda understands the increasing importance of technical education provided by Davis Technical College, and the positive effect it has on students’ lives and the local economy. In 2021, she was honored by the college with a Philanthropy Day Hearts and Hands Award.

Rhonda also currently serves on the Board of Trustees for The Road Home. In the past, she served for many years on the boards of Race for the Cure and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Rhonda is married to scenic photographer Steve Greenwood, and they reside in Farmington, Utah. They have two daughters.

Steve is the founding and managing partner of Adams & Petersen, CPAs LLC. He has been in public accounting since 1987. Steve’s professional background and experience as a CPA includes working with businesses in all areas of the construction, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, fabrication, outside-sales, distribution, medical, dental, legal, professional services, franchising, development, real estate, natural resources, multi-level marketing, trucking, transportation, and software industries. He works extensively with companies to provide them with help in financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, corporate and individual taxation issues, internal control procedures, forensic accounting, fraud detection techniques, estate planning, like-kind exchanges, strategic planning, the purchase and sale of business entities, and overall business consulting. In addition, he is highly experienced with divorce income/tax situations as well as trust case matters. He has and continues to work as a trustee for several cases.

Steve enjoys serving his community and does so in many capacities including within his Church and Boy Scouts of America. He was also one of the founding members of a Non-Profit network marketing group that donated thousands of dollars throughout the years to homeless and needy families in Davis County; he also serves and has served on the Board of Directors for several Non-Profit organizations.

Steve’s life away from the office includes spending time with his wife Christie, their four children, and his grandsons.

Tyler grew up in Kaysville near Davis Technical College. He has been in commercial banking for 14 years. He enjoys working with clients to find solutions that meet their particular needs. Tyler works closely with business partners, inside and outside of the bank, to ensure the success of clients. He has experience in leveraged buyouts and M&A transactions.  He has worked with clients in manufacturing, machining, construction, real estate, wholesale foods, restaurants, healthcare, telecommunications, and indirect financing.

Tyler has a bachelor's degree in marketing and an MBA from the University of Utah. Besides serving on the board for the Davis Technical College Foundation, he serves on the finance committee for the Salt Lake Valley Habitat for Humanity. Tyler is married with two kids and enjoys mountain biking, long-distance running, and skiing.

Jewel Lee Kenley is the owner and President of Ed Kenley Ford, which was founded in 1981 with her late husband Ed. Jewel Lee has expanded the business to include Quicklane (quick lube), The Car Barn, EKF Custom Accessories, Larson Boats and Ed Kenley Investments. Jewel Lee has received the Athena Award, the Woman in Business Award and the Legacy Award from the Davis Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, Jewel Lee was recognized with the Lewis W. Shurtleff Award from Weber State University for contributions to education. Jewel Lee serves on many local and State Boards and committees and is a former Trustee of Weber State University and the Davis Technical College.
